This model (VPC-L117FX/B) includes a built-in TV tuner so you can connect to your digital cable TV service and over-the-air (ATSC) HD signals (antenna required) and watch television on your PC. Additionally, an independent HDMI input lets you connect compatible cable/satellite set-top boxes, Sony PS3 systems or other HDMI enabled devices without booting up into Windows (HDMI cable sold separately). Ideal for anywhere space is at a premium, the VAIO L has a mounting capability that allows you to attach a VESA-compatible mount (sold separately) to it and hang it on the wall of your bedroom, kitchen, office or attach to your desk. When not mounted to the wall, the VAIO L features an adjustable stand to help you adjust the unit to meet your desired viewing or touch angle or simply to decrease the slant for space-saving. Easy to setup and even easier to use, this L-series All-in-One includes an elegantly designed keyboard and a USB mouse.
Pre-installed with the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium operating system (64-bit version), you’ll be able to easily create a home network and share all of your favorite photos, videos, and music. Windows 7 is the easiest, fastest, and most engaging version of Windows yet. Better ways to find and manage files, like Jump Lists and improved taskbar previews, help you speed through everyday tasks. This VAIO L is powered by an Intel Core 2 Quad processor–with four processing cores and Centrino 2 technology–which boosts speed, reduces power requirements, and saves on battery life. The 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400S includes a quick 1066 MHz front-side bus and 4 MB of L2 cache, providing an optimized, multithreaded architecture for improved multimedia and multitasking performance. Five high-speed USB 2.0 ports and one FireWire/i.LINK port are conveniently located on the back and sides for easy access and let you attach virtually all your peripherals without having to buy additional hardware. Other features include a 1 TB hard drive, 6 GB of installed RAM (12 GB maximum), Gigabit Ethernet networking, S/PDIF digital audio output, NVIDIA GeForce G240M graphics with 1 GB of dedicated video memory (and up to 3807 MB of memory shared with the system), and integrated 5.5-watt stereo speakers (for 11 watts of total power).
